Patriot Blast 2.5" 480GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PBT480GS25SSDBK

 

I had to ship the first one back at my own expense, I am trying to call the company to see what can be done about the second one because it's ridiculous that I'll have to keep paying for replacements that less then a month but no one answers the phone...

It worked for a little while

My SSD stopped working within a month, I RMA'd it and the replacement broke with in a month as well.

So Far So Good

 

Have used Patriot products in the past but this is my first hard drive from them. If it continues to due what its doing I'll be more than happy to use them again and again.

Fast! I'm coming from an old style 500gb hard drive and this thing flys. With my setup I boot up in less than 10 seconds.

Not really a con but im used to the hard drives being bigger and heavier and this thing is tiny and light weight kind of freaked me out at first lol

Not a good experience so far.

 

I thought Patriot was a good brand name. I did manage to get an exchange for the same hard drive. I hope this one doesn't die on me as well. I bought a standard hard drive just in case. Back up your drives before any new hardware installation people....

Price. It seems fast enough.

I had my Blast 480 for about three weeks before it died.

Great Drive, Great Price

 

Had my husband install this new SSD in my computer and noticed an immediate improvement in booting into Windows. Before using the SSD it was over 1 minute to boot, now about 30 seconds. Even my programs load faster! Glad I made the purchase.

No Cons.

Good while it worked

 

I was hoping it was going to be a good buy at the price, but I guess you really should just "cry once" and get something like the Samsung 850 pro or the Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD's

Inexpensive and performed well, a good feature set from the Phison S10 controller

died after just two weeks, booted laptop to find drive not recognized, removed it and it wasn't detected in a different PC. RMA'd for a refund
