Excellent choice for a digital audio recorder at less than $150. There are a lot of high quality digital recorders (e.g. Zoom) on the market now, but prices *start* at 2.5x Newegg's price for the WS-331M. If you're going to use your WS-3xxM for music...

Great quality, well built.

 

Great quality, long recording times, ease of use, portable. Great for classroom use, meetings, lectures, etc

Relatively expensive, and the mic picks up background hums of ACs and PCs, perhaps there is a setting I haven't yet discovered to eliminate this

I love newegg. I started off with buying an Antec case, and have been steadily building my computer. Over a 4 month buying spree, I now have a samsung 22" lcd, core2duo 2.66, gigbyte mobo 1333, 650 watt power supply, 2 hdd (375g and 500g), 52X cd, dvdr...

I use this to record lectures. It picks up sound pretty well, I'm thinking of getting a microphone next

Does Not Read All mp3s

 

Very good recording quality, slim, usb connection and lit LCD screen

Can only read first 32 of 134 mp3s in the unit. I had the same problem with the WS-321M ; Mp3 playback and search not user friendly as mentioned in prior reviews ; Olympus not helpful at all

Excellent Product

 

Overall, I'm very pleased with the device and NewEgg's service. Great product worth every penny. I would easily buy another one.

Lots of features, just like other Olympus models. Tons of memory and very high quality recordings. Perfect for my paranormal investigations group that I run. The extra quality of the recordings makes audio cleanup much simpler

The design of the device itself is clever, but certain parts feel very thin and breakable. I'm just a little concerned that if this gets dropped, it may break very easily. I'm not going to knock any stars, but thought it might be pertinent for people...

Been shopping with newegg for 3 years and never had any problems. Keep up the good work guys!

For class lectures this is what you want and thats quality. I can hook it up to my desktop without any problems. Via the desktop speaker its crips and clear! Its a must have for those tough classes

Excellent tool

 

I spent about 10 hours researching before I finally selected this product (purchased on 7/10/07 from here for $140 + $5 shipping). It was the best choice for what I wanted: good digital voice recorder, good mp3 player, and good flash drive.

After spending a few hours with it, I am very impressed. It's tiny, very well designed, and an overall great product

The major con is when you touch the recorder while it is recording, you will very likely get scuffing sounds from your hands
