Great voice quality. Attractive design. Portable. Can connect to the iPad for use with Garage Band

Not-quite-as-great musical recording quality. Unidirectional mic makes portability less useful. Fold-out stand gets in the way when mounting the mic on a larger stand

Solid voice quality and a compact build make the Samson USB Meteor Mic a good choice for a portable podcast/Skype microphone, but it's not the best choice for music recording.

These budget open-back headphones prove great audio can come cheap

 

I bought the Samson SR850 headphones for under $40 and have gotten four years worth of all-day wear, a solid open soundstage, and great listening.

Incredible sound quality for the price ; Imaging and soundstage impress ; Comfortable

Highs can be harsh ; Low quality PU ear cushion leather ; Rips off AMG K240s

The Samson SR850 headphones are a budget wonder. With the open-back design and incredible sound quality, they offer a quality audio experience on a budget.

Spacious passive soundstage. Very good frequency response consistency. Lightweight and fairly stable design.

Poor leakage and noise isolation, by design. Not very stable. Mediocre build quality. No microphone. No case or pouch included.

The Samson SR850 are good for neutral sound; they deliver sound quite consistently and have a wide, spacious soundstage. Their exaggerated treble response gives them a bright sound profile and ensures instruments have detail, brightness, and airiness....

The Samson SR850 can be found so pretty cheap and are great value headphones. They are semi-open, so there's a bit of sound leakage but makes for a better listening experience. The sound itself is quite good for how much it costs. That said, it is not...

These headphones are great for mids and highs. Lacking a little in bass, but not more so than any other non-bassy headphone. I've tried a litany of other headphones including: SRH440s, Phillips Citiscape Uptowns, Brainwavz HM5s, HiFiMAN HE4XXs and more...
