The specs say that the overall color is stainless. Only the door & drawer front are stainless--the sides are BLACK.Magnets do NOT stick to the front, which is o.k.--prevents the door from getting junked up!

I purchased in Dec 2007. I buy all my appliances at Sears. I have to say I have had very good luck with Sears repair service. This bottom freezer replaced a top freezer model. I was going to go with side-by-side but more recommendations for this model....

this is the 1st bottom frezzer we ever onwed. So much room, and handy with everything in the fridge part right at your eye level. We get alot of comment's on it. Make's a little noise when running, but they say that is normal. Hope this amana hold's...
