We have only had our Breville ikon Grill for a week or so but we have used a couple of times and had no problems with the plates becoming dislodged when the grill is heated. The grill plates are so easy to clean either by hand or in the dishwasher....

If you are looking for a good Grill, go for this. The price is around $180 which is really worth the money you pay.
