Won’t play MKV over a network ; Some menus a bit drab ; Can’t watch in HD on mobile device ; Viera Connect lacks slickness and content of rival portals

Purchased Sep, 2012. After 12m it started freezing during boot up. This was intermittent but became more regular. Sometimes it would take 4 or 5 goes to get it to boot up. Recently it wouldn't boot up at all. Have just heard from repair shop that part...

Would not buy again

 

The unit was easy to set up and controls work well but ABC and SBS reception via either city or country frequencies through this unit are very inconsistent while all FTV stations are great via direct to other digital TVs from new external aerial/cable....

Sick and tired of unreliable non commercial TV reception.

ease of use, works well with all my other devices only blue ray player I could find with an SD slot

not enough catch up options like the BBC I player wish list I would love to be able to use the internet connection to surf the net.

Ease of use, Intuitive & logical menues make this a cinque to use. Picture quality in HD is stunning I also have this linked to a quality AV Amp, the sound quality using 5.1 surround is beautiful. Having always been a Sony man I was reluctant to...

Like all of these things trying to get it to connect to my home network. It also could be my lack of knowledge on routers & DLNA network settings. It connects itself to preset web services automatically once the network cable is plugged in, Great.

Very easy to record from tv guide. Good , sharp picture. Offers choice of standard or HD broadcast if both available when recording.

Cannot get the clock to display. Insists we enter a password to watch any recording rated as or above PG even though parental controls are off. (We have no young children).
