Very versatile with formats and connections, fantastic playback and more options than most will use. Is especially brilliant when interfaced with a matching high end Yamaha reciever. Nearly future proof. However

Not Blu-ray or HD DVD, so not future proof, maybe too many options for some, and it seems almost snobby and unforgiving to me; mine only likes near brand new dvd's and doesn't like playing old or burnt ones as well as cheaper models. I expected better...

Range of formats & media offers great flexibility. Image & audio v.good for this price. Remote is well structured - enough buttons to do what is needed, but not so many you lose track

Wish it had an optical audio out. Manual is too brief given machines capabilities
