Flawless Shuttle Build

 

Very happy customer. I'm ready to build another one!

This was my first Shuttle build and it couldn't have been easier. I ordered this model to use as a DVR and for MIDI support using UBUNTU Linux 9.04. I used 4GB of Corsair memory, a GIGABYTE nVidia 8400 GS Video Card, LG DVD burner, C2D e8400 Processor,...

I can't think of any. I may add another fan for cooling but for such a small box the temperatures were acceptable

Sweet little rig..

 

My Brother wanted a new Shuttle build. After a couple years of hauling his P190 around. He coveted the thought of going back to a small form factor. So I spotted this on The Egg. And configured a mid range system. I usually scoff at "Barebone's" But I...

Foot print. Weight. Quality of construction materials. Solid state capacitors. Layout. Ease of build. Decent amount of room. Looks good. Not that loud. (imo) For what it is...it functions well. From surffing..to heavy gaming. This little rig can do it...

Temperture monitoring for the cpu..seems off..with an e7400. Perhaps a bios glitch..with the latest batch of 45nm chips. Or a faulty sensor. But componets are cool to the touch. And it's running snappy. Used Arctic silver 5. Using a sata optical. So...
