Dell Vostro 410

Too cool for school, but not the office

Standard ATX case, quad-core CPU, four USB ports on the front, looks stylish

Could use more PCI Express slots, runs 667MHz RAM instead of 800MHz, doesn't have eSATA, USB ports are not flush with the front panel and could be awkward to use if the unit is placed at floor level

This PC is worthy of consideration if you want something zippy and good-looking, not to mention easy to maintain and upgrade, for the office.

Dell Vostro 410

With its high-end performance, the Dell Vostro 410 is a powerful PC for small businesses.

Minimal bloatware. Lots of expansion space. Quad-core performance. High-powered 3D. 15-month Internet Security subscription. Windows XP, or XP plus Vista discs to upgrade, are options.

One-year warranty. A little pricey. Could be more energy efficient. Included online storage is only one year.

Dell Vostro 410

The Vostro 410 scores highly on upgrade potential, performance and value, it's just a pity the energy efficiency is all spin.

Strong performance, Good value for money, Plenty of space for upgrades, If black is your colour, you'll like the design, Lots of USB ports

Wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, Pre-installed Google Toolbar and Desktop, Energy efficiency savings is all spin

Dell claims its Vostro 410 is an energy efficient, high performance PC for small businesses. While Dell's efficiency claims seem to be hot air, the 410 is a sleek, zippy and good value PC.

Nice System at a Nice Price

As an IT professional, this computer is the best tool I have... The price was decent, the power is incredible, and performance is amazing! You will not be dissapointed!

This system has a nice balance of features and price. Q6600, 250GB HD, both Vista and XP, DVD R/W, ATI 3450 and Gigabit NIC. System supports more than 4GB RAM and has 6 SATA ports some with RAID support.

No Spdif header on the Motherboard.

it's a beast

great computer. Just need to see how it holds up over time. Hard drives are definitely the bottle neck - don't get a faster processor. Bought with quad core q6600, 3GB ram, ATI 3450 HD video card (Diamond(tm) card, which registers as 512MB ram, not...

extremely powerful

None really...

A great buy for those looking forward

This unit was replacing a failed PC, so the lack of an IDE port was definitely painful, and it lost 1 star overall for that. The lack of a floppy drive is annoying (for me) but not too bad. If you don't need the IDE or the floppy, buy with confidence!

This has turned out to be a very fast PC with plenty of headroom for the future. When I purchased, XP Pro was included (Yay!), as was a free upgrade to a Q6600 CPU. It arrived in perfect shape despite a crushed corner courtesy of FedEx, and booted up...

With the ammount of expansion bays available (3 CD-ROM drives??), I find it somewhat disappointing that I had to chose between a floppy or a memory card reader. There are certainly enough 3.5" bays available, but only 1 that is externally available....

Very disappointing

As a long time normally satisfied Dell customer I am very disappointed in my experience with this system. I ordered the Vostro 410 with XP, Core Duo, 3 GB of ram and from the moment I set it up I had problems. MS Office, first 2007, then (after...
