Acer Aspire M3979

Quick to use, lots of space on HD, great RAM, love the 10 usb ports and the 2 extra power only on the back, along with the wireless wifi!

Didn't come with Windows 7 Business option, but did manage to upgrade very easily via download (though means its an extra cost)

Quick, no hassle, quality.

Overall a very good experience. FYI: Windows Experience Index scores the computer between 5.2 and 7.5, the lowest score being for Aero Desktop and the highest for memory operatiions per second.

The network card kept on failing to connect to the internet using my hard wired internet connection. After much hassle and hours of trying to understand the problem I found an expert forum where other people with the same network card were suffering...

No idea as can't use it without a working keyboard and mouse!

Still waiting for dongle so without it couldn't work keyboard or mouse so can't use PC so can only give it low rate as manufacturers wouldn't provide it direct and am waiting for retailer to sort it out 3 weeks after delivery.

very quiet and superfast. Had a compatibility problem with windows media player and acer clearfi that came loaded on the computer but sorted it through the helpdesk.

dvd disc drive seems very flimsy

Quiet and noticeably faster than my previous dual-core machine. The number and position of the USB ports make it easy to connect peripherals. Bundled software seems reasonable but I am only using the anti-virus suite as I loaded non-commercial software...

I can't get the machine to work with any keyboard and mouse other than those supplied. It was not immediately clear to me that the USB dongle for these was stored inside the mouse. The DVD tray does not always respond to the "Open" button.
