8 ohms ? really ??

 

Polk needs to get its act together and stop fooling people. And people need to get some idea about what is called good sounding and what is bad.

cheap. looks good (high waf)

Where do I start ? First of all these speakers are NOT 8 ohms. As per my impedance measurement these qualify as 4 ohm speakers and that too on the difficult to drive side of 4 ohms. The impedance drops to 3 and lower in the good part of the freq range...

The other Polk speakers in my setup suit my needs just fine. Driven with an off the rack source (receiver/amp) of common brand they are just fine in the bass and high end department when placed right and when driven with a Pro Audio source (which cost...

I haven't ordered them yet, waiting on my tax return and then I will report back, but I have seen and auditioned them before at a friend's house

I don't expect any based on my experience so far

if you set up yor reciever (auto calibration) then hook these bad boys you will be glad you did I would like tohave a 5.1 s thats, But thats comming later . But for now bi amping these spekerkers is the way to go

clear intelligable sound for good price.Bi amp set up way cool for stereo music and movie listening. Cherry looks very good for imitation finish, they match my wood surroundings and my audio challenged significant other even noticed the inprovement...

These speakers sounded so good started jamming them right out the box without proper setup of my pioneer vsx 1020 recivier and wound up blowing a driver in one of the speakers what a bummer
