Technical issues drive you nuts

 

Recorded programs skip scenes, the sound fades to very low at times, freezes, recorded times are all over the place, technical support is a waste of time because they cannot fix these problems.

way too expensive, boring and very repetitive, not many new shows, always have technical issues with

 

we have had austar for almost 2 years now and the price has gone up several times without notice or any explanation. everything is so repetitive so i get bored of it very quickly, the do not respond to email quieries at all. the box freezes so many...

Expensive monthly charges with Austar. Hardly any new content available on Austar. Better options

 

Upgraded to the mystar box on Austar as I was unable to get Foxtell and their version of mystar called IQ. Whilst it was handy to record your favourite free to air programs I found that it was very unreliable and was hit and miss. The worst part was...

Ability to record to programs at once. Large 500gb storage.

Costly, nothing decent to watch, can achieve better at no cost with a purchased PVR like TIVO.

Austar Mystar is a expensive on going cost to add to your lounge room. The Channel Packages available only have certain channels most people will watch and some channels are teamed up with some of the less interesting channels.

Can pause and record live tv.

Good

 

Good product even if it has downsides.Can be costly to subscribe to, but if it goes faulty there is back up and replacement at no cost.

Able to watch FTA and pay without having to change output on TV, records series, fast forward thru Ads

Price, cant copy from hard drive to other equipment (DVD recorder)
