It's a mic. it picks up your voice, it also plays sounds. what more can you ask for

You plug it in and it works (XP machine). No problems with mic sensitivity like I had from another manufacturer's headset. And it is comfortable, although I haven't used it for a long time. Works great with Skype, very clear sound
