Call quality is GREAT with an iPhone. Better than my Jawbone II. My voice is similarly clear and background is eliminated by the DSP (read the booklet!). Maybe you guys had an early version, but the earpiece you described is NOT what i have

The first one I had was returned because the ear clip broke. Plastic. But BestBuy simply exchanged it so no big deal--I wanted another one of these. Also, READ THE MANUAL! The volume toggles are confusing
