You'd be forgiven for thinking from thinking from screenshots alone that PC/Mac puzzle-platformer Thomas Was Alone was either a scrappy prototype game or a ponderously minimalist art title. It's true that differently-sized blocks in a 2D world...

Occasionally frustrates, but Thomas Was Alone instantly and wittily overcomes its rudimentary nature with bags of charm and thoughtful puzzling.

is a prime example of how narration can make a game great. On its own, the game is a decent platformer. However, once the narration is added in the game becomes great. If you have a Vita, give the game a look. It's easy to pick up and enjoyable to all.
