Limbo

Though it can be said that the sound and score don't match the game's visual appeal, there's something great about the minimalist approach that makes Limbo the complete package and a game you won't soon forget.

Then again, you could just keep trying and use the "no fall" damage cheat - that works too.

Fascinating art style ; Great management of sound ; Challenging puzzles

Can be unnecessarily difficult ; Narrative presentation is either “love it” or “hate it

It’s been a little over a year since Limbo launched to enormous critical acclaim on the XBox Live Marketplace. Now, the game-meets-art title is coming to the PC and the PSN, with a small amount of additional hidden content, for those that haven’t yet...

LIMBO PC Review

Sometimes, delayed game releases are worth the wait. Such is the case with LIMBO, a side-scrolling puzzle/action game released last year exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade, but now available for PS3 and PC via Steam. What sets LIMBO apart from other...

When LIMBO was released on XBLA, the price tag turned off some gamers; indie side-scrollers, with or without wonderful art, are just a bit steep at fifteen bucks, especially when LIMBO offers an entirely linear experience that will last you only a few...

Thoughtful puzzles and striking aesthetics make Limbo a cerebral adventure you must experience.

Moody, black-and-white visuals ; Excellent sound design ; Thoughtful puzzles with lots of variety ; Hidden secrets reward a second play-through

Ends abruptly

Limbo poses the questions of death versus life and reality versus dream, but it doesn't answer them. It's the questions that are important here, and you're left to contemplate the meaning of this world for yourself. Although this is a game without...

Limbo Review

With no text, no dialogue, and no explanation, Limbo manages to communicate circumstance and causality to the player more simply than most games.

Limbo is an incredible achievement. Very few games are as original, atmospheric, and consistently brilliant. It belongs in everybody's collection. The journey may be over too quickly, but you will be entertained every minute. This is one of my favorite...

Limbo review

Simple 2D platformers are back in style. Braid led the way with its storytelling, graphical style, and simple yet difficult gameplay. Limbo takes a similar approach, although I find it to be significantly more enjoyable. It has all of the essential...

Limbo can be summed up with just a few words: unique, challenging, moody, violent, dark. The graphical style is spot-on, greatly enhancing the game’s ability to both lure in unsuspecting gamers and scare them when their character dies. Limbo is...
